Anyone fly with AOL? We might end up getting that because hughes net is way to slow and we dont get fios or anything like that out here.
What's best dial-up server?

Don't know, I flew Air Warrior with AOL but when they dropped that...I dropped them. I can remember I did not like AOL though. (For what its worth)

I was on AOL in the late '90's. Maybe they've gotten better. Moved to AT&T for years. Was always happy there but finally needed broadband so now I'm with Comcast.

I didn't even know that AOL provided an internet connection any more. I always thought that AOL got out of the ISP business and was now just software you ran on top of it.
I have a feeling that AOL's ISP offerings are probably nothing more than a "rebadged" ISP connection from a different provider. In other words AOL might use AT&T's network but call it their own. Of course this is speculation on my part but I have a good feeling I'm right.
Even years ago AOL still relied on telephone providers' phone lines to get you to them so I guess it's not all that different afterall...

check netzero and other providers... AOL from what i remember is a very intrusive program, slows down your systems resources.

I've heard that the game is made for dial-up though. What's the best dial-up source around then? Cuz we're in a dead zone and dont recieve any big internet providers.

I was definitely in your position for years. After relocating from Los Angeles to rural Virginia, I found two options dial up and hughes net. We then were fortunate enough to find a new upstart company that broadcasts radio waves. Because we had an in home business that needed high speed we had both hughes net and the radio frequency connection.
Hughes net does NOT cut it for Aces High. I was always the source of someone's complaint about warping. Once they got a lot of bugs worked out the radio frequency connection was the best. We still get disconnects during weather and seemingly at predictable times during the day. The connection to Aces High is much better than hughes net.
Don't be afraid of dial up though. The game works very well (or at least used to) with dial up connections. The only lag issues that have hurt my Aces High play came from Satellite technology.

I used to work in the repackaged broadband sales world. Do not buy any of these 'national' companies broadband, unless they own the infrastructure (AT&T OWNS their cable...).
If you are buying from AOL or Earthlink (are they still around) or some of these other providers, you're wasting money and paying too much. They are reselling you bandwidth from a local company at an inflated rate, plus you are now going through their portal to access the net which is extra stops along the way and adds more latency.
Go to your local cable or phone provider for service. As I recall, Verizon owns line in Southern California and a few other major markets, they might be a good choice as well.

Their are also little bitty phone companies all over rural USA that now offer decent dial-up. :salute
