Title: show pilot black outs in film viewer
Post by: caldera on November 26, 2011, 10:02:14 AM
From G forces and pilot wounds.  Please.

p.s.  Also could use an icon for the protagonist's plane when viewing from other planes in the film.

I think it can be done for the recorder's plane but I don't think it's possible for other A/C you might want to jump to in the AHFV. Not saying that's what you asked for...

I support this though.

I know this is sort of off topic but how do you get to and open the film viewer?  :headscratch:

All I do is squint really hard or hold my breath for half a minute at the appropriate times to simulate red outs and blackouts.  :D

The icon idea is a good one. :aok

I know this is sort of off topic but how do you get to and open the film viewer?  :headscratch:

C:\Hitech Creations\Aces High\ahfilm

or the folder:

C:\Hitech Creations\Aces High\films

and click on one of the films you've saved and it should automatically open AHFV.

To record films in-game press ALT+R to begin recording and ALT+R again to end the recording. A dialog box will appear allowing you to name and confirm, or to cancel saving the film. You can also auto record your sorties by going to:

Options > Preferences > Flight

in the Clipboard in-game.

Since the viewer can display speed and altitude in the "con window", then showing G loading there would be nice.

It would go a long way toward refuting claims of a pilot having disabled his blackouts.
