I am finally back in the game (gone roughly 7-9 months), I've been having problems with my F3+ outside views and nothing seems to work, not even if I am in the tower or just sitting on runway.
Any suggestions?

First thing I'd do is check to see if F3 is mapped to external view. Options, controls, map keys then select subheading views and check to see F3 is mapped.
hope that helps!

[Edit; A little redundant, morf and I posted at the same time]
Make sure they are mapped properly in the keyboard map. Maybe it's some funky keyboard conflict. Can you map anything to the F3 or is it just not registering in Aces High?
Try mapping the "toggle chat buffer" to F3 and see if that works. If not I suspect it's just not recognizing the keys.

So you finally admit to using F3 in the Runstang! :O ;)
Check the F Mode key on your keyboard. Have had the same thing happen after accidently bumping that key.

Make sure you re-map your keys, for example I know a certain someone who has "enter" for eject.

This.
The keyboard I currently use has an "F-Lock" key that locks the function keys to work like actual function keys instead of whatever the heck other stupid functions the manufacturer thought they should do instead.

wow... that's a dumb idea, practically speaking! What ever happened to a good old standard 104-key keyboard?

Whatever happened to people just starting an app with their mouse from the UI? Having to only press a single key to open your browser or email or media player or whatever...how lazy society has gotten. :cry
Oh, and what's worse is the default state for the keyboard is to NOT have the F-Lock turned on. After a session meltdown or sudden power outage, it always takes me a few punches on the keyboard to remember to activate it again...then it remembers until the next time the system takes a dump.

I was able to get it work with that F key button.
Thank you to all who replied.
