When you need 140 lancs to take a base do you feel good about yourself when finally take it?

problem is maybe a set or two will actually make it to town, so to answer your question, nope they all suck.

I thought they were great fun (at least for the defenders). Rather face that than 10 sets of 25k B-17s with as many escorts, or a gaggle of heavy P-51s steamrolling the field. At least the Lanc horde let you get a few kills and it was quite a spectacle.

Post by: icepac on December 03, 2011, 12:11:36 PM: I had to bail right next to an enemy large field so I crept up with the .45 to hide by the rearm pad buildings and hope someone would rearm.

Instead, a bunch of lancasters spawned only feet away.........so.........I put a round into the cockpit of every lancaster I could and got 4 kills almost right away.

I left the keyboard for 45 minutes to work, returned, and scrolled up the buffer to find I had gotten 11 kills overall and a few assists.
