Title: ability for gunner on tank.

My wish is for the ability for a gunner to join a tank and use the main gun and the pintel. as of now you cant. me and some of my squadies would love doing some gv missons and i SUCK at tanking so i would call for a gunner. but now i cant please bring this back. oh and make it so the gunner can only control the main gun coax gun and the pintel gun (oh and make it so the pintel gun links to the hull gun if possable)

I like this idea.  This might be a challenge because of coding issues though.

well, first of all, wish partly granted. the hull gun is enslaved to the coax, so thats already out of the way.

however, i just dont think this will work. whatever way the TC is looking the gunner would look. the commander controls position of the gun, so your asking for 2 different things to be redone.

you asked for the pintle. nevermind.

its impossible for the pintle to enslave to the hull. your just better off using no hull or coax and instead using the pintle. but why would those guns even need to be used? to kill a M3/M18? well thats about it. nothing much with using those.

i remember joining a wirble and gunning for squaddie while he was a driver
when did that change i no i cant do it now.

it changed when we got the new GV system. way back in july i think.

Yep, you used to be able to have someone join as gunner so you could drive and they could gun. With the new GV controls that ability went away.

April.  I was in Denver when that version came out and I was limited to tinkering with the new system for a week on company laptop.  I remember it well.   :D

I would love to have this. I always used to up a Panther or a Tiger for my squadmates, let them learn tank gunnery against real live thinking targets with a gun thats powerfull and flat shooting, while they don't have to worry about driving.


I think they should be in control of the turret and by default, the hull-gun as well. But the pintle gun should be left to the driver. It would let him spot targets for the gunner, and let the gunner focus on killing tanks without worrying about aircraft.

Thats odd. It thought the Panther came out after the GV update.

it came out in either november or december last year. long before the GV update.

I would imagine it would be very hard to coordinate to make a "more effective" GV.  I would think that although fun for a couple minutes it would turn out to be more frustrating than enjoyable.  As a result I dont see there being any point to adding that.

well i have people who have mics and can gun good.
