Damn.......all I ever harvested from the sea was bales of weed........and a m16 I had to surrender to the cops when I waded ashore with it.

Depends if the plastic was intact or not.  Salty weed is pretty horrible...

Any more info on these things, like how you collected them? What do you look for in a place to find them. Stories behind any of them?

Not to pry, (and if i am just say so) but its a really fascinating collection / hobby.

They dredged a channel near one of the bridges to key biscayne and built up a bank that seemed to be mostly made of sharks teeth.

My buddy found a few like the ones above and I think I found about 270 teeth in a couple hours.

He's got an unbelievable amount of marine stuff because his dad used to be the captain of the boat a seaquarium in miami.

Years later, both he and I got the two boston whaler boats used by the sons of ranger rick on the series "flipper".
