Title: Logitech g510 gaming keyboard.....anyone use one?
Post by: SilverZ06 on December 09, 2011, 03:57:39 PM
I have no idea what I want my wife to get me for Christmas so I though maybe a Logitech gaming keyboard seen here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823126100\
and an H80 to replace my 212+: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181016

Does anyone use this keyboard? Can I program the HUD for anything in AH? I am thinking if I can't use anything in game, maybe I can at least program the display for my CPU and GPU temps. Any info is greatly appreciated. I will probably order both this weekend to get it in time for Christmas. Thanks

Silver I have it and I will say it's great to have. I am able to monitor CPU and Ram usage, plus there is a built in timer so when the VH goes down i can time the 15 mins before it goes up. You also have a myriad of keys off to the side that you can program for different things. They also have any custom color for the keyboard and the best part is, its back lit so you can still type and see what keys you are typing with out any exterior lights.

The G keys are programable in AH as anything you want so you have an extra 18 keyboard combination keys. One of the selling points for me is the windows lock function that they have, you can lock out the windows key so you wont get an unexpected switch to desktop. So if you want a keyboard with lots of functions I would say it is worth it. Just my 2 cents.

I just bought this about three weeks ago and love it:  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823126195 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823126195)

No wires is a great thing.

I have the g110.  which is the same except for the lcd and it's 22 bucks less.  if she doesnt use the lcd then would be another option.  just be aware it doesnt come with a mouse.  so if you give her a keyboard also get her a mouse before she begins wondering lol.

I thought wireless caused some issues with the games performance?

Ditto.

Currently have 1 in service & is especially good when using it in the dark (lighted keys) as I do.

If y'all can spring for it, get it.
