The first two episodes this season really dissapointed me. They had magically changed N #s for almost every scene, and the ice hanging straight down on the wing (AKA ramp ice as someone on another forum put it) really made me cringe. Along with the runaway trim, (a non-event if you recognize it, which the pilot did) and it seemed like all they were doing is making it sound incredibly dangerous. I watched last nights episode and was pleasantly suprised that they actually had more flying than drama, and a good story for the episode. It is a good show, minus the TV magic that takes place (but that happens in all shows)
Do any of yall watch it?

I only watch it for Ariel, that's bout it

Catch Ayla, she is every bit as hot if not hotter, and not a ditz, though loveable as Ariel is.

The last thing I want to do when I finally get home is watch a show about dam airplanes and snow.

That's exactly all it is. I like watching it for the flying, the camaraderie, and of course Ariel but when they start doing the whole "they're gonna crash" thing I just blank that part out. No airline could operate profitably under the conditions they claim let alone with the safety record that Era Alaska has.
I remember one episode where they said that the crosswinds might be too high for the pilot to land on a dirt strip. It was obvious they were shaking the camera to make it look rougher than it really was. The pilot made one pass "to test the wind strength" and then decided to land on the second go. Funny thing is the landing was picture perfect and he wasn't even crabbing at all. After he landed they had the passengers out and was interviewing them and one girl was even holding up a piece of paper and it was sitting there perfectly still - it looked like the flag on the moon! :O
I take their "danger scenes" with a grain of salt and just enjoy the show for what it is... cool flying and awesome scenery!
Although I have to say.. I figured Alaska would have bigger peaks than this!

I watched a few episodes, did not like it. It seemed that the show is made to be interesting to people who know nothing about flying.

She is very good looking, but she seems a bit weird when she talks. :lol

Ariel's legs are too skinny...I find it to be a turn-off. Her sister, however... :devil
I watch the show for the flying scenes, but it is way too scripted. I suppose that is showbiz.

Now if they would just make a show that is made to be interesting to people who know nothing about grammar and spelling!
