I like the way HTC seems to be going with AH.   We are getting new things to play with at a nice rate, and we are getting variety to boot.   Yes, I am aware this is a airplane flight sim game first, and imo always probably will be.   But with so many who GV, it makes sense to introduce additions to that aspect as well.

I think that broadening the whole aspect of the game is not only good for business, it's good for game play as well, but that is just my own opinion

Nice work HTC

So far, we know of THREE things or changes coming with the next update:

The addition of the Storch (with an increased ability to see gv icons vs other aircraft).

The addition of manned stationary German 88mm FLAK 36 L/56 (or so it appears).  No details have emerged yet.

A reduction of air to gv icon range (exact settings unknown) for general aircraft.

With any luck we may still get the Me410, there has been nothing from HTC since it won the poll.

You could realy thank him by getting enough players together to fly planes in formation spelling out:

THANK YOU HTC

Screan capture it and post it in here. Not sure any of us can afford his bribe other wise.

Uptown,

Your saying you are not so much a fan right now, I believe has more to do with game play advancements.  The total experience that HTC has provided with its AH2 version is something of a great accomplishment.  My friend, have faith that the horde light will dim for all of its creators and the majority of subscribers will again go about their business of fun missions and encounters with all countries.

Skyguns is correct in gleefully anticipating new arrivals to the AH2 hangars.  Take a look at the details in the 3d modelling from Superfly and awesome cabling effects brought to life by Cactus in the previews on the main page for the Storch.  Along with that, HTC always rolls out a number of really nice things with every update (must be some sign of a to do list by the designers).

Having said all that, I would like to say nice going HTC for another year.  :rock Take a well earned break for the holidays and find an intern to monitor the servers, and enjoy the satisfaction of a job well done.

P.S.  Because when you get back, Uptown and I have a few thoughts on an even more successful 2012.  ;)

+1 on the thanks.  I can't imagine conceiving a game like this then actually completing the project.  Frickin' unbelievable.   It's only a few strategy tweaks and new maps away from being just about perfect.  Frankly, I get quite excited when new aircraft are added - but look at the ones we've already got.   It's the historical accuracy of the flight modeling that keeps me interested.   For me, it's not so much of a game as an opportunity to (sort of) fly the aircraft that I'm so fascinated by.      So, HTC and crew - Thanks!
