There it is. The last.

The Air Force is saving every single piece of equipment used to manufacture them. But only in case they have to make a new part. Or re-start the line :devil. The F-35 is rapidly approaching the cost of the F-22. ~150 million for a F-22. ~122 million and counting for a F-35A(Air Force), ~150 million for a F-35B(Marines VTOL) and $140 million for an F-35B(Navy).

Now, all we need to do is fly it to Iran and give them the keys.
*tongue in cheek*

We better make sure it is in better condition than the last one. That RQ-170 had a scratch on it.

How do you know that the Raptor on that picture is the last one?
-
The F-35 should be scrapped since it is a fail project anyways.

Other than it being on several news sites look at the assembly line behind it. Not Much going on.

Necessity is the mother of invention.
We don't need them, not yet anyway. It'll take another war to get the economy back on its feet. Which means mass production. Which means more jets for me and you.

and it would appear to have two exhausts where the 35 only has one.....

Umm, we just finished one and are wrapping up another. All it did was bleed the government budget of money and families of their servicemen.

Right...but it's the last one. I somehow doubt we can have the "world's greatest military" with only 10, 50, or 100 planes, however high tech they might be. I think it's money well spent, in this case at least. Could you have bought 2 or 3 more F16s? Yea, but it's been a few decades, an upgrade was in order.

:headscratch:
You do realize that I'm comparing this Raptor to every other Raptor, it has nothing to do with the F-35.

I always thought the YF-23 was a way prettier and better suited plane for its roll, it should have won:

Ick, no thanks. It looks like something somebody drew on a napkin.

I also think F-22 looks a lot better. I don't know YF-23's performance specs so I can't compare it.

I believe the F-23 was one of the best looking planes in history. It really has a bit of a Sci-Fi look to it and I look at it and become speechless. Saw a real one at the Air Force Museum in Ohio I just stared at her for a while and it really is just flat out sexy.
