AH does not seem to recognize all the function buttons on my Saitek X52 Pro. I go into the setup menu to program a profile and not all the buttons are seen (ie. On the throttle the "i" button, front scroll wheel and the alternate mouse button.) I have not used the SST prorame, and am not sure how it works completely.
Any similar pr

I have some experience setting up profiles in the SST and I'd be happy to help.

We only see the buttons the controller tells DirectX about. The buttons Saitek hides can only be used in conjunction with their software.
It is not a game issue. It is a design choice by Saitek.

Thanks. And Clerick if you have any advise on how to use the SST to set up the x52 it would be great. I am not sure how AH would recognize the SST set up in the game.

SST will be seen ingame as a keystroke command, you can setup the mouse with the majic mouse program!
The I button is a clutch button that immitates a shift function,I have heard that if you leave the controlpanel open in your task bar that AH will "see" the scroll wheel on back of throttle. That was about the only button I never setup,oh and didnt use the clutch either. You can program almost everything ingame without the sst, exception being mouse and clutch, the scroll wheel as I said requires you leave the control panel open.
If your online you can look me up in the training arena and I'll do my best to help you with programing your stick.

all depends on what you want to do. I use TrackIR so I have tons of things programmed to the hat switches now.
As for the scroll wheel on the throttle, it's perfect for flaps!

Thanks for the replies. I have been messing around with the SST program and I think I have been able to program what I need. Very useful tool
Thanks again for your help. :aok

If you have the saitek drivers installed then you can turn the 'i' button into a normal button using the settings on the device properties page.

Thanks tigger. I will do that when I get a chance. I did notice that key assignment in the SST program stops aces high from see that particular button.
ie. I have secondary fire assigned to the E button on the hotas. When I go into the AH menu to set up control I can push the E button and AH doesn't see it. Now the E button works just fine using the SST, just something I noticed.

I can't seem to find the device properties page to change the setting for the "i" clutch button.
Update!!!!!
I found it, disregard the above question.
