Looks like the center section of an RQ170, same one the Iranians seem to have.  Hard to tell about the size though.  Could be bigger...?

Why the hell would they bring that through Cowley county?  :headscratch: I am only 30 mins north of Windfield and for anything like that coming though the area is off. Unless they avoide the highway I-135 and took the back roads.

At first thought it looked to me like the fueselage of an SR-71 Blackbird.  But I havn't been the best at identifiying pieces from aircraft.

Jesse Ventura could probably tell us on his show about conspiracies.

Wow, I love how people feel the need to make innocent scenarios so dramatic.

The truckers didn't want the Sheriff to talk about it, yet the idiot goes on NBC news complete with pictures. Small town morons.

Besides, what kind of UFO is going to have landing gear complete with rubber tires. Well, maybe all of them, but I figured they'd have something more advanced.

And speaking of the landing gear. It looks rather robust. Perhaps we're looking at a Naval drone?

Navy's X47 will be doing carrier landing trials next year, so it could be one of those.  Or it could be a completely different one that is a follow-up version of the ones currently flying.  It certainly looks bigger than the ones that I've seen in aviation week but it's hard to tell from a few photos though.  Still, a BIG stealthy UAV is probably on the USAF's wish list.

Yeh, Grumman X-47B was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the clip.

My brother and a couple of my friends saw and got pictures of this on hwy 287 in North Texas. I'm surprised that it hasn't made more news if its gone that far.

It was the US giving Iran the proverbial finger.

"Oh, you think you have something special there Amadenawhatsit?  The RQ-170 was sooo last week.  Check this one out buddy."

Super sized stealth UAV...  Coming soon to an airspace near you.

It's the GooglePlane; It flys over all your homes intruding, silently, into your daily lives and delivers the data collected to Google HQ. Which is then passed onto .... then onto .... for the highest bidder

I would re-think what kind of people are in Windfield, Kansas.  I have some good friends there.

Evidently, it's a weather balloon.

:aok

Anything ET was flying won't be transported through town on a flatbed in broad daylight.

Some sort of UAV. Beefed up gear looks Navy. Odd shape and wing/body design makes disassembly and shipping in C-17 difficult. Also, trains have width limitation as well.

Less UFO, more next generation. My guess.

Well it is an oversize load, and by federal law it is not allowed to travel at night.  Funny exceptions were not made though.

...... I saw that same thing on sunday, this was on 79 North going through WV. They had a military and police escort..... thought it was pretty interesting.  The craft took up BOTH north bound lanes.

lol. if it was anything important they would have done any number of things to disguise it, not just thrown a tarp over it and called it a day. the guy driving the truck was probably laughing his bellybutton off the whole way through town.
