Post by: Midway on December 18, 2011, 01:22:31 AM: Heard from him on 200 today he has lung cancer and not much time left. Said he's been playing AH ten years or so. Thought those that don't know yet might want to know.

I hope the news turns good for you soon, if that is still possible. 51 is too young for you to go. Best wishes and keep flying and fighting as long as you can. You are in my family's prayers.

I have flown against Don for 10 years and always respected him as a player. Though I've never met him personally, but the years I've flown against him and him to tell me of his condition in private and public on the game has brought me to realize that even though we've never met he is considered a friend that I personally feel like that we have known each other like a friend down the road. This game has its frustration but last night I realized that if it wasn't for the friends that I've met either as a country man or an enemy is what brings me back to this game year after year. :salute

The FREEBIRD$ reach out to Don5090 in our prayers and wishes during this holiday season. Let every second, minute, and hour be blessed for you my Friend. :pray. Don is what I consider an ELITE because of his attitude towards life and the way he treats people that he has met in a game.

It broke my heart to see him playing instead of spending time with his family. I do understand sometimes you need to get away but when time is not on your side family needs to come first.
