Title: Some good squads
Post by: Huskey39 on December 18, 2011, 01:30:18 AM
I am looking for a squad that will fly missions as a group and train their members.  I am a good stick and have a kill ratio of 1.75.  Changing sides does not matter.  Thank you, any input will be helpful

Try Kommando Nowotny, one of the best Luftwaffe squadrons in the game, and one of the best squadrons in the game period.

Not a whole lot of missions and stuff goes on in the MA with them, but they fly in FSO, scenarios, and a lot of other special events (which run just about every third day it seems).

Check out the 113th Lucky Strikes, Saturday evenings, 7:PM EST. Knights, Vox 113. take a look at our AH Wiki squad page.  See if you might like to wing up for a flight or two.  There is a link in my signature to the wiki page.

I would think that to be a matter of perspective.......

Loose Deuce has a couple spots to fill. We fly Rook. Half our flyers are European so we generally schwarm around 3PM Central, which is 10/11PM their time. (We borrow heavily from Luftwaffe tactics, hence a schwarm, which is a 4-6 bird gruppe.)

If you find some Deucers tell them Boo sent you. Dhyran is our CO. Loose Deuce won season 1 of the Squad Dueling League, which is on hiatus. We also use TS.

Huskey, both the POTW (PIGS) and CHawks fit what you are looking for. There are some great guys and gals in theses squads. look up waystin2 (PIGS) or Spiveych (CHawks) great place to start.

Any of the squads mentioned would be a good fit. Loose Deuce requires a flying transformation and love for American, fast, hi alt birds.

Basically the planes that smacked down the Luftwaffe.

Quite interesting to hear theese words from a dude called Joachim.
Otherwise the Jaks and Las smacked down the Luftwaffe. And only when the Germany were outnumbered 3 to 1... oops.

Loose Deuce, pretty good split between high alt Ami birds or 190s. I spend most time in the 51, next is the 190 and when I get jiggy its in the Spit or 109.

For the Euro flyers in our squad, some spend most of their time in the 190. What you will rarely see is an LD tool'n around in a Japanese plane. Some but not often.

And yes, we like to start the fight at 30k. Yarbles taught me this... :bolt:

Really? And all this time I thought the ~6-1 odds (combined vs Allies/Soviets) and lack of expeirienced pilots due to 4 years intense fighting had something to do with it :bhead.

Didnt say anything bad, just telling him what Loose Deuce are mainly seen in. Germany lost, we all know. Call it 2.5 Star of Africa.

You must be special to have a 1 in your last name...

Besides that, the 109 in your avatar.

I'm curious though. Joachim has a germainic last name, chooses to have that as his ingame name, puts a 109 in his avatar, and is a decent 109 stick in game, yet seem rather anti-luft and pro-"allies is teh best, cauz dey winned".

I suspect an attempt to cover a desire to be more German.

Just a weak troll, I do admire luftwaffe pilots and the skill most had over the allies. I know the allies had numbers over the Germans, but either way the allies had a good advanced fighter that could take the fight to germany and back.

And so you feel the need to troll in response to an (accurate) description of planes a certian squadron flys that carried no negative contonations whatsoever?

Hey now!
Germany got a big head start on getting it's pilots combat experience.  And look at the mismatch between early war Germany and the early war countries that Germany was crushing.
