To get help, post the specifics: make and model of the laptop, model and speed of the CPU, full systems specs, details about the o/s, etc.

There is no Radeon HD 6470 listed on the AMD site. (http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/graphics/amd-radeon-hd-6000/hd-6570/Pages/amd-radeon-hd-6570-overview.aspx#2)  They have a 6450 and a 6570, but no 6470.  (Was there maybe a 6470 that got discontinued?)  Either way, that is bound to be a fairly low-end card, down there around the bottom end of the 6000 range.

Yeah the 6470 isn't so great to begin with.  On top of that it's a mobile version of it which means it performs even worse.

On top of that the laptop is probably preloaded with tons of software running in the background.  I wouldn't be surprised to see 80+ processes running.

On top of that the processor is probably throttled down for power saving and cooling purposes.

To be honest I'm surprised it even cranked out 20 fps!

The AMD Radeon HD 6470M (sometimes also still called ATI Mobility Radeon HD 6470) is a laptop graphics card for entry level to middle class notebooks. It should be based on the Seymore-XT chip and therefore feature the UVD 3 video decoder. Compared to the faster HD 6490M, the 6470M only supports slower DDR3 graphics memory.

wow... turns out he had 102 prosses running, he shut down about 40 (permenatly) and the CPU power was 1/4 of what it should he maxed that out and maxed the fans. when running AH his laptop runs at 140* F CPU and with max testures *besides shadows on others and smooth shadow) he gets low 50 FPS

im impressed.

Funny I stuck Aces High on a HP Pavilion dm1-4020sa yesterday and got the same thing with the Raedon graphics 50fps on advanced graphics. Thinking of getting one of the more powerful HPs now for myself.

I use HP ENVY 17" and 24" screen. Runs AH at MAX Graphics settings steady 60fps and no problems at all.

oh his laptop is a ASUS A53S with a NVIDA geforce gt 530m GPU (not intergrated in the cpu like the intel 3000) a intel I7 CPU
installed coretemp on it and running aces high on max settings it runs 140ish max settings (besides shadow on others and smoth shadows) its constand 59-60 FR now that he removed alot of bloat-ware.
