Sides will be posted Tuesday Jan 3 then?.  Objectives sent out Jan 3rd and CIC orders mailed the next day Wednesday Jan 4th.  I hope both CIC's will be able to work on a 1 day prep time before Friday Jan 6th assuming they know they are Frame 1 CIC.

Good point, Kuya (and not because you'll still be hung over)  :rock

It's tight timing with all due respect to the holidays.

Just looking out for my fellow CIC's especially if it becomes my turn at bat. :D

Y'know, you could just go ahead and create orders for both sides...Frame 1 will be interesting.

The timing is a little tight because of the holidays.  Sorry.  I will do my level best to get the assignments done and posted that Monday evening.  :salute

I can do that. :devil

Not a problem.  On the write-up for the FSO, there are 4 objectives listed for each side.  Are they going to be the same for all 3 frames?  This will help the Frame 1 CIC's also knowing them in advance also.

Heck just pick them and post on the 30th.  Everyone should know by then what side and rides they want.  Just seems the logical thing to me given the holidays and all.

If that is the consensus, I can just as easily set up the sides and send out the Frame Objectives on the evening of Friday December 30.  I had thought to avoid putting work on anyone's plate over the New Year's Eve weekend, but if you folks would rather have the info on that Friday, I can certainly do that.   :salute

I don't know from consensus around here  ;).

Thanks for your consideration, sir.

But Kuya will STILL be hung over on Monday morning.

I know for a fact that Kuya does not drink and will not have a hangover.

Registration will close on the evening of Friday, December 30, 2011

At that time the Allied and Axis sides will be determined, C-in-C tasks will be assigned, and objectives (which are already in the write-up on the AHEvents site (http://www.ahevents.org/fso-current-next-event.html) ) will be sent.

D-Day US fighter force was dominated by Razorback P-47Ds and P-51Bs. Later model 51Ds and bubble top 47's didn't become more prevalent until later. I don't see D-11 or 51B's in the lineup~ seems like they would fit for at least the first frame.

Looking forward<S>

Actually P-47D-21s and 22s were the dominate Jugs at Normandy. Even though they were Razorbacks the P-47D-25 is a more realistic representation than the D11. Also if you didn't see the P-51B look again. It's the first USAAF fighter listed in the writeup.

Funny~ thought I read 51D's in the write up somewhere, I'll be darned.

Yep it's too bad we don't have a D-15 through D-26 Jug representative for just this reason, they were many more of those produced than the D-25 blocks. Still think with the way the game is modeled, the D-11's maneuverability is better and more historically accurate competing vs 109's 190's if you disregard the bomb/rocket truck aspect of the D-25.

Looking forward to the setup either way Shifty<<S>>

Yeah I'd like to see another razorbacked Jug or two added to the sim myself.
