I want one to put on my head when I'm playing Aces High :devil

I used the original GoPro to film a pair of glider flights.
Heres the first:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdPIxAn7Jdo&feature=related
And the second:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIHJH7a8EyA&feature=related
Enjoy!
The second one holds a nice spot in my heart.

Piper Pawnee the 235 HP version.
I find boxing the wake pointless yet fun and I know all the tow pilots and I normally tell them when Im going to box it. One day I didnt though and when I mentioned it to him after I landed he said he hadnt even noticed until I was on the top right portion. Which is my favorite spot in the box so I normally pause there a little bit longer. But yes it really has no purpose.
-
very nice - That pawnee is a touch bigger than my 150 :D It really tugs pretty good when they box the wake, gotta stomp on the rudder - Gives ya a pretty good workout
-
Yeah most people cant handle the high performance Pawnee :neener:
What gliders were you towing?
-
We've got a grob 103c acro, a cirrus 18m, and there are a couple private owners. The only privately owned glider that I've towed has been a Discus. Mostly people fly the Grob though.
-
I used to do that... Looks like he was getting his butt kicked though :)

I learned in a Grob 103 and now fly the Grob 102 :D
We recently restored a schweizer 2-33 that I luckily never had to do any training in. ;)

There's our Grob on the DP, the tow plane is sitting on the ramp painted up like a Southwest airplane. (The lady that owns the airport is very senior in SWA)

Yuck paved runways! :neener:
We have a 1/2 mile grass strip.
Lot of cool guys fly into it though. Few weeks back a pair of Steermen flew in and did some acrobatics over the field for a bit. One member of the club has a Starduster and he took me up for some acro in that. Another member just bought a Pitts S2-B I wanna say but it may be a -C. Coastal Airport near Pensacola.
-
We have a grass runway that runs paralell to the runway when we have....grass. I use it in the cub, but typically the gliders still prefer pavement (easier to push back)
-
We have golf carts for that :)
Honestly I wish we were at a bigger airport so we had more exposure.
-
Nice footage. What's the deal with Russian Insignia on the F18?
Is it designated as an OPFOR A/C for Training?
 Oz

Dont they call the Soviet Paintjobs "agressors" for training?
