I wish that HiTech would put up a late war server, that was strictly real time play with out the use of lag compensation or such.
I can cut a plane to pieces in offline mode, no problem. But, I cannot do the same in the online mode. WHY?
Offline should be a reflection of online, not just a place to familiarize yourself with the games functions.
Its 2011 and the personal pc with broadband is dominate now. No longer any need to compensate for dial up. I can ping England servers under 100ms.
Many of AH's servers are not really utilized. Why not an experiment HiTech? Put up one server, along side the others, thats as realtime as you can get without delay algorithms and see how many players like it. Costs you nothing, maybe make game play better??

I dont understand what you're talking about. What delay algorithms are there in the LW server?
As for your kills, you just aren't good enough would be my best bet. I'm a complete noob when it comes to fighters but I've landed 15+ kills in the past few hours.

Wow you sound completely clueless as to how it works. Read up on the "damage model" threads as that applies here too. There are no 'lag algorithms' and many people manage to hit other places just fine in the MA. Your problem is that they aren't flying around in level circles...

The basis, of your entire wish, does not exist.
That's a good analysis of the state of the world. :D

real ppl are harder to shoot down than drones that fly in circles?

I believe that you, Skuzzy, has said in another post I put up, that the game employs "lag compensation". Did I miss understand something?
S
As to the other rude posters, if you have nothing positive to offer, then hush. Its a wish list and I am entitled to wish. Is not the wishlist for HiTech? I certainly was not asking the clientel.
I told myself not to bother, but ask no questions, get no answers.

The basis, of your entire wish, does not exist.
Its sad when even Skuzzy shoots down a wish...
"but if the basis doesn't exist - is it a wish at all?"
and if it doesn't count as a wish - can we continue trying to have him understand that planes offline that possess no innate ability to try to dodge attacks - instincts - skills - luck - much less anything else relatively human as compared to the online environment? And explain why its easy to cut up planes even in the active "offline missions" since they do not exactly "dodge" anything besides a little turning; and as a result more bullets land in a similar area making drones go boom?

MADe,
There is no such thing as "lag compensation." Such a thing is impossible. Shoot at the aircraft as you see them on your screen, if you hit them on your screen, your computer will transmit that data to the server which will relay the data to the computer of the guy you hit, his computer will then apply the effects of that damage to his aircraft and its flight model. The worst that you may see is a delay where on your screen a one winged airplane flies as though it has two wings for half a second before it starts behaving as a one winged airplane.
There is nothing in Aces High such as has been seen in some older games where you have to hit the enemy on his screen by guessing where he is.

I don't believe the drones off line have the same damage as a player online.
They break like paper planes so your comparing apples to oranges. I see where your wish has come from but the world is a big place and internet lag is something every game has to contend with.
I can kill USA players much easier than say Japanese players where good hits do not appear to register. I'm sure the American players could say the same thing about hitting my plane with a 0-40 ping and me riding them out and killing them with a 140-160 ping from Europe.
I've had several instances where someone was not even pointing at me yet they are firing and hitting me. You just have to shrug that off and re-up no-one is at fault.

.
Unless you changed lethality, the settings are exactly like they are online, I.E. same number of hits at the same range to damage a component.

I don't think he understands how the internet works. Flying "offline" vs "drones" is far different then "online" with real players. There is no such game that can compete offline with online, and the only time that does happen is called "Lan" which none of us are hooked up to Aces High via Lan.

made out of curiosity can you post your system specs. perhaps there's something on your computer itself that is causing the lag online.
