I was thinking I could go to a shoe store and use the air jordans as an excuse to start hitting people.  That would be fun.

A lot of people call that "acting poor"...  Continuing dumb antisocial acts while spending stupidly large amounts of money on unnecessary crap, instead of paying off debts and putting away some savings.  Getting into a fight over expensive sneakers you probably shouldn't buy because you're behind on the credit card bill just about exactly fits that description.  There is a whole wall full of perfectly good sneakers at the salvation army store, most under $5.

Dave Ramsey says that 80% of millionaires in the US today are "first-generation rich", meaning they got their money without the benefit of inheritance.  They got it by living cheap instead of acting poor.  And by not getting into fights trying to buy overpriced sneakers.
