Found a couple of games that surprised me in EB Games today.
First one: B-17: Fortress in the Sky, for Nintendo DS. I didn't know that was made for DS! Anybody played it?
Second: Heroes over Europe. PC. It looks to be pretty good eye candy (Better than AH, I daresay) but I don't know anything about the actual game... anyone played it? What do you think?
I also saw Il-2: Cliffs of Dover... nuff said. :D

Games that will never leave my memory:
Jane's WWII Flight Simulator
Enemy Engaged: Apache vs Havoc
12 O'Clock High: Bombing the Reich (I spent 6 months to finish ONE campaign)
-
Ace Combat 6 - Skies of Liberation i think it is, that one was pretty good.
-
Red Baron 2 - my first flight "sim"
B-17 (thats all it was called)
Janes
FS2002
and of course, Aces High.
-
Chuck Yeager's Air Combat.... Best flight sim of it's time I think..

SWOTL (My very 1st sim)
Red Baron
Aces of the Pacific
Aces Over Europe
MicroProse B-17 Flying Fortress (which, in my opinion, is FAR better than the newer B-17 Flying Fortress: The Mighty 8th)
Oh the memories... :x
Il-2: Cliff's of Dover has some extremely nice eye candy. Absolutely beautiful. But the 110's in that game can roll 5 times for your Hurri's 2, doesn't matter the speed. :noid

Ace Combat 4, 5, and 0 are also amazing games. I still get my PS2 out to play them ;)

I remember when me and my friends would get together after school just so we could go to one of our houses to play Ace Combat 5, that was the best one out of em all!

Haha... Got B-17 game and Heroes in the sky for Christmas... :aok
First sim was FS 98 :lol. That was (seemingly) amazing at the time... Now I'm playing FSX... Just awesome.
Aces High, Red Baron, FS 98, FSX, Pearl Harbour: Pacific Warriors-- anyone know that one?
And of course, Fighter Ace :D
That's all for me :P not many...

I almost forgot these two, Battlestations: Pacific and Battlestations: Midway, not just air but at sea too. you can fly a plane or command yer boat!

I always liked Topgun Fire At Will PC sim. The one made after the movie. I'm not talking about its realism though. I liked the little windows that popped up showing person on the other side of the radio talking. Also, the RIO in the back seat said some crazy fun things every once in a while. The missions were pretty cool. It was made for internet gaming, but I don't think that ever took off (he he took off).

Mig Alley was pretty sweet and another one I liked was A-10 something. I can't seem to recall the rest of the title :old:

LOL B-17 ..
.. the question about being good at flight sims is a bit of a paraphrase from history.
Invariably, when someone found their way to page 870 on GEnie,
..discovering Air Warrior, they would post how they were good at flight sims
..and list all the ones they had played and how great they were in it.
It got to be a standing joke.
Because no matter how good a person is at BoB or Red Baron or <insert any drone game here>
..'good against Drones is one thing' .. (-tm Han Solo)
Air Warrior and now Aces High continue the tradition.
People will embrace the Hate and club you like the baby seal you are :)
This aint no flight sim.

Falcon 3.0 was the first flightsim that i really felt was 'realistic'.
the other arcade shooters were great too. . .

Did anyone play Jane's USAF. That game blew my mind. I've bought it twice actually.
