Title: Mrs RTR made me tear up a bit

Christmas time here for the last couple years has been an emotional roller-coaster. Mom and Dad passed away 2009 (Dad Oct 16, Mom Christmas day 2009, two of my favorite Aunts followed in the next year and a half, Mrs RTR had some scarey medical problems last year Christmas... after surgery all good now though).

I was kind of apprehensive about this year... until this morning.

My beautiful bride of 29 years has been squirreling money away (unbeknownst to me), and this morning when I unwrapped my present it was an Itinerary...for a 5 Day cruise of the Caribbean. Bought and payed for. She said I needed a Christmas.

So.. from the 14th to the 19th of January, Me and the Mrs are going to be sailing the Caribbean.

I'm stunned and shell shocked...and tearing up again dammit.

Mrs RTR Rocks!  I think I will keep her.

Christmas isn't about the loot it's about the Love, and boy do I have a ton of that!

Now just gotta find a speedo in my size <G>!

Sadly I no longer have control of my wallet. I do however have a #2 pencil...will that do?

Enjoy the trip RTR. Which cruise line are you taking? Each one has a little different atmosphere. I've been on 2 Royal Caribbean cruises and they were awesome. The one PITA was dressing coat and tie for formal dinner. Hard to get motivated into putting on a suit when you are having fun at the swim-up bar. But the food was worth the hassle.

Also be warned, you will put on about 10 pounds. They feed you 24/7. :devil

Its a 5 day Carnival cruise RPM. Sails from Miami to Jamaica, then the Cayman Islands and back to Miami. The ship is the Destiny. Should be a fun trip.
We are really looking forward to the food!

From what I've heard Carnival is a more relaxed atmosphere (party boat). You should have a blast.  :aok
