Please add this plane so in the game so it can drop troops, drop supplies, make bombing runs, bomb cvs, etc etc etc
Thanks

:rofl at 75K pounds, thats like trying to up B -29 to take a base. not only will it be a BIGGER and SLOWER target, but this would be a complete waste of resources.
This makes the PBY request look like the best thing ever to happen to AH. Not only no but HELL no.

Thank you for your 1 vote of negativity. May all of your Christmas presents break right after the warranty date expires. :P

Well I happen to like the PBY XD but I still don't think this plane should be added. It didn't play a large part in the war and has about same load as the Ju-88.
+1 PBY
-1 Ju-290
-
Did a full squadron of bomber-versions even see combat? I see a lot about recon and expiramental weapons, but not much about use as an actual combat aircraft.
-
-1 lack of combat history and obese
+1 for being a German Bomber
-
A bomber version, the A-8, was planned, but never built.[2]
Not happening.

yes it did and it was in the atlantic, flew to japan, hitler's plane, etc etc...read on..........
A special long-range reconnaissance group, studmuffinr 5 (Fernaufklärungsgruppe 5), had been formed on 1 July 1943 and during the late summer of 1943 three of the new Ju 290 A-2s were delivered to its 1 Staffel, which became operational at Mont-de-Marsan near Bordeaux on 15 October of that year. They flew their first operational missions in November 1943, shadowing Allied convoys in cooperation with U-boats, and often remaining airborne for up to 18 hours

Not happening.
That's 1 quote from 1 version not being built which does not disqualify it or another version from making it into game play. Of course that model would not be built. :P....... read the links posted about the other versions

Its true that Hitler has one of these as his personal planes, but he never flew in it. He always flew in a Ju-52/3m

A total of 65 machines of all variants were completed by war's end. The Ju-290's primary role of long-range naval recon doesn't exist in Aces High, (and the PBY, H8K, and Fw-200 are FAR more historically significant representatives of this mission profile, anyway) and its use as a dedicated bomber was so limited as to be virtually non-existant with the one dedicated bomber variant planned NEVER BEING BUILT. Also, although initial planning was investigated no actual flights to Japan are ever confirmed to have occurred. As for Hitler's aircraft, it was never used operationally in this role. The modifications weren't completed until February, 1945, and the aircraft was destroyed by Allied bombing after arriving in Munich that March.

The Ju-390 had a grand total of 2 built. Both were prototypes and the type never saw operational service.

Peyton, as a rule, no go with stuff that saw fairly large ammounts of combat between 1940-1945, at least untill you're old enough to read the requirments for addition to the game and pay attention to them.

Tank, my esteemed colleague. Thank you for the personal jab. Did you spill your prune juice on your slippers?
I do have a question from your post. You say "no go with stuff that saw fairly large ammounts of combat between 1940-1945". Don't you mean "saw little combat ?"
I guess we know who can't read...don't we now! :lol

I believe there is a "," missing after go. It doesn't take much to recognize the context and reinsert it where it belongs.

No, I was going to say "not smart to try and find the most obscure, least used, and insignificant aircraft you can find", but changed it and missed removing the "no" from "not"
