Something i dont understand about Australia:
You can join the army.
Use a gun.
Shoot and kill people.
Conquer countries.
and Slaughter hundreds in the name of your country......
...Yet its usually Illegal to buy M rated videogames there. :huh

But you do understand doing all of the above and not being able to buy a beer?

Curious timing with PAK going mental, and China exherting it's brown water fleet, and the Marines staging a marshaling area for the far east / west PAC

:headscratch:
That was in reference to Tyrannis' comment
-
Dang that would have been tempting.
-
That would be pretty cool I think.

I've trained with the Aussies, and they're every bit as reliable an ally as England itself. Australian SAS has had some enviable escapades in Afghanistan, and I'd trust the entire Australian military on my flank without reservation. Its not necessarily about having the ability to invade a country like we can, but what they can do with what they have...
Beyond that, I was in Australia shortly after 9/11, and those folks down there were buying us beer and encouraging us to go raise hell and get our revenge. It was an impressive sentiment and one I'll remember for life. So, if you're of a mind, seems like an awesome deal... Generally speaking, there are very few places in the world that like Americans implicitly--Australia is one of them. I'd serve with those guys and gals any day.

The Aussies and the Kiwis, never underestimate them. That's all I'm saying. Check your military history. Anyone would be proud to serve with them.
-
I'm wondering why a Special Forces type guy would join a foreign military. You would think that they could make more money taking a job with a civilian security contractor.

Legally, until i am 21? sure.
But from what ive heard they are not aloud to most M rated games period. kids or adults.
And i think they have a $2k fine if your caught with one.

Stop listening to sweet nothings from your ponies and read some factual documents...
