I think it would be fun if officially sanctioned missions were held in the late war arena. We could have have a special events map tacked onto but not reachable from the regular map.
More specifically, one thing that I feel the late war map should offer but does't offer are saturation bombing missions @ 30k Atlantic front style or B-29 missions @ 10k pacific front style. Both forces could begin their flights at altitude and we could take the perks off the 29's. We could add wind and napalm and have the targets be big like the strat complexes and run off of a %. If the bombers were allowed to drop bombs from a gunner position, a designated lead could give the drop bombs command, or have the bombers flight paths and bomb drops happen automatically, that way guns can be manned at all times.
Why not hold them in special areas of late war along with the other special events.

We have them called Snapshots and Scenarios.

Why would you assume that it would obligate anyone?
I didn't say the fso people don't count, I'm just saying I think FSO would have a lot more participation if it were done in the same arena (on a seperate map)

It would also remove all of the historical relevence if used in the LW arena. Thats what we have"missions" for

Same arena on a separate map...uh...that would require an entire recode of the system how it is setup now...I think most people would stick with clicking 3 buttons to get into the SEA.

If you flew on the same country as me you'd realize that I don't post NOE anything aside from the rare exception.
Look to chuwie if you want NOE.
