This will be a base capture setup. We'll make it easy enough, to capture bases, but you'll have to do your part. im using the guadalcanal map, because the Italy map is too big for this setup. have fun and enjoy!

Operation husky
The Allied invasion of Sicily, codenamed Operation Husky, was a major World War II campaign, in which the Allies took Sicily from the Axis (Italy and Nazi Germany). It was a large scale amphibious and airborne operation, followed by six weeks of land combat. It launched the Italian Campaign.
Husky began on the night of 9–10 July 1943, and ended 17 August. Strategically, Husky achieved the goals set out for it by Allied planners. The Allies drove Axis air, land and naval forces from the island; the Mediterranean's sea lanes were opened and Italian dictator Benito Mussolini was toppled from power. It opened the way to the Allied invasion of Italy.
Allies will start with 1 base and 2 carriers. they will need to capture the whole island. town down will be at 20%(to be modified as necessary)

Looks like fun. One question though. Whats with adding in all those bombers? It's not like anybody ever flies bombers in the AvA. :P :bolt:

From a historical perspective.....
RE: the Allies
You may want to delete the P-40C. These were long since out of front line service. The RAF and Commonwealth units were flying the Kittyhawk Mk II and Mk III. USAAF units equipped with P-40s were flying the P-40L (very similar to the F) and some F models. Many of the older P-39s had been replaced with P-39N, to which the P-39Q is a closer match, performance wise (although the N retained the same gun package as previous models). What units where flying the Spitfire Mk. I???? I also note that you've used the P-51B as a replacement for the A-36... However, you can bet that few of these will be used for ground attack. Being the fastest fighter in the plane set, I expect to see these used mostly in fighter mode. Consider the P-40N as a substitute for the A-36. It's a bit slower with less climb rate, but a little more maneuverable. You should be able to disable the centerline bomb option in the hanger, so that it is not "bombed-up" more than the A-36. There were no 76mm M4s in the Sicilian campaign, and no Fireflies to my knowledge. Also, there were Spitfire Mk.VIII and Mk.IXs unit based on Malta in June of 1943 (145 Squadron). By Early July, there were no less than 27 RAF squadrons operating the Mk.V, Mk.VIII and the Mk.IX out of Malta. These squadrons provided considerable air cover over Sicily. So, these Spitfires should be part of the plane set. I'd limit access the Mk.VIII as the numbers were relatively small.
RE: Axis
My reading shows that there were no more than 17 or 18 Tigers in Sicily, with 10 being destroyed by naval gunfire the first day. I suggest very limited access. Likewise, there were only an handful of C.205s available. Once again, you'll need to limit access. There were no Wirbles or Ostwinds in service in Sicily. Give the Axis the M16 instead.
