When a mission launches it should be advertised on 200.
Why? a Controlled message would draw more attention than a single player, saying "alert...."
-
then people would stop using the mission maker and just do it without it.
-
What about those who don't tune to 200?

A system message would be nice. They could tie it to the launch from a base in a certain amount of time. Same more than 25 planes upping from a base in 5 minutes generates a "mass launch" system message. This would give the smaller groups a chance and alert everyone where the horde was upping next.

Yea, cause in R.L they would put it in the news paper before an attack..
Go ahead and file that under never..

I guess all those intel groups that everyone invested in didn't have anything to do with intercepting incoming missions. Coastal watchers and the french underground didn't have radios and report mass launchings and large bomber streams. Nope, this idea is wayyyyy to far fetched!

I agree with what you said.....But still the opposing army didnt announce they are on there way.. the opposition had to figure it out..

I think it should come up in the radio and say something like:
System:(insert name here) is planning a mission from (enter base name) and is looking for pilots

what the hell are the spies gonna do now :noid :noid :noid

for some reason I just had a thought about trolling :noid

or be like jayro and call a lift time and direction. that way anyone can take what plane/load out they want. and for the people that check tower/ in flight numbers you have guys on the runway vs sitting in tower

I think the idea is to announce to the ENEMY that a mission is lifting. Hence the "advertised on 200" and the "ALERT..." comments
-
Hmmm full dar bar in one sector, back from the frontlines, is that not enough warning?
-
agree with above.............. full darbar is sufficient notice of mass enemy action be it mission or not.

When a mission launches it should be advertised on 200.
If you haven't learned by now, most of these airfield missions aren't looking to run into any defense. If they do, they scream 'spies' on the forums and demand a greater than 12 hour (some even want once a month) country switch time.
As much as I like your idea, I have a better chance of sleeping with Kate Beckinsale than the above idea has of appearing in the MA settings.

yeah but its completly stupid.
what im saying is if they did make it so when a mission that was made in the mission composer thing anounced it launching over 200, then people would just call gatherings like Jayro. so its an easy way to avoid having your mission being anounced

isn't this what the sector counter does?

No

I was thinking that an announcement, i.e. rooks are planning a mission launch in xtime And thats it.
-
No
It was a rhetorical question, the answer is no, unless it is an NOE mission to a base with no radar, and we should all know that NOE is an acronym for no energy. I don't believe NOE missions are potent at all and I do believe that anyone who ups to defend against an NOE mission is going to get some kills. Anyone who ups a fast plane can get some kills and then fly to another base to land them if needed.
