Choose the highest building in the standard town and make a spawn point for an observor/lookout with a 360 view which may or may not be lost when that building is destroyed.
The idea is to promote battle by countering sneak/surprise GV attacks with the intel that that one is underway and its not just a lone player "flashing" the town.

interesting idea. though this could also be inplemented into the game if we ever get infantry like HTC wants with a garrisonable infantry idea

I'd like to see a manned 88 at 3 points around the perimeter of the town, serving as dual purpose, anti tank, & AAA. This is kind of realistic as the flak was usually deployed as a multi gun battery linked to a central fire control (I think?). The Guns should be located OFF AXIS from the 2 main BOMBER ROUTES to prevent Easy Kills ... Personally, I think they should be hardened against strafing attacks and require at least a 100lb bomb or 2 Main Gun Hits to put them out of action. A central command post for the guns (unkillable) would make a good observation post, wouldn't it?

Large Airfields have 4
Mediums Airfields have 3
Ports have 3
Vehicle Bases have 3
Small Airfields have 2
They will rip through the armor on a Tiger... and are lethal against AC at long range once you learn how to use them. We dont need them in the towns.

Yes, I'm sure they will be usefull, but that doesn't provide any AT defense for the town. OR overlook capability.
