1. a brake sound.
2. a bomb bay doors sound.
3. a flame sound when the airframe is burning.
4. an engine damage sound.
5. an electronic turret sound for buffs.
6. Seperating flak burst sound and shell hit sound. (i.e. flak1.wav, flak2.wav, flak3.wav...and explode2.wav)

Awesome list mitsu, and 100% agreed.
HTC simple little things like this would add SO much to the game, the eye candy and coed is already there. :salute
-
you know there is free sound packs you can download.
If i remember corrected the Birds of Prey website has some very good ones on there. i think they even added the valdals check 6. lol

+1
Accept for #3, I don't think you would be able to hear the sound of fire over the engine.

Great wish list, Mitsu! :aok

locating engine sounds correctly relative to the pilot would be very nice to have too.
-
4. an engine damage sound.
Are you think when you are loosing oil?
And do you have the wav files to send us? Most of what you ask for I agree with.

Should probably do a little research before telling one of #1 providers of Soundpacks to the game dude...
He's asking for new additions for the possibility for more variety of sounds to add - like TO HIS SOUNDPACK...

Evenly more important, Hitech seems to be onboard with the concept!

whatever, i've been out of the loop for a while now. im in the military and havnt had alot of time to play in the last 2 years

+1 for most of them, waiting for HTC to add them and then for the Mitsu's sound pack :rock
Great to see you on again Mitsu <S>

+1 for Mitsu's wish list, and +1 for RTHolmes wish regarding the engine sound location relative to pilot's head direction. :aok Even tho I know it might interfere with the direction other aircrafts are coming from..? Or is it?!
Just feels weird to have an engine "inside" your head.. :uhoh
The engine damage sound could be a metallic sound increasing in intensity as the oil dried engine runs hotter, and rpm should drop a tad just before the pistons finally jams to a full stop.
And might I add one more little sound wish? An engine stutter just before you run out of fuel also... ? :old:

I think you can hear a flaming sound when your engine is stopped or viewing within external view (i.e. bombers).

Thanks, I was AFK long time. :D and I'm loving this game again. :)

Email support@hitechcreations.com. Attn: Hitech. Or you could try sending to hitech directly instead of support...
In the subject line, be sure to include something to catch their eye.

5. an electronic turret sound for buffs.
How about using the Tank Turret sound in the mean time...
Accept for #3, I don't think you would be able to hear the sound of fire over the engine.
What about the "crew members" screaming FIRE through your headset??

i was wondering if you could get a siren for the ju 87 when it dive bombs , ive tried to look for one :salute

That has been asked for many times. There is no sound file you could replace that would come on when diving.
-
so the ju 87 sound file would have to be modified then by htc , ill look through the old threads :salute

Yes please go read through old threads for a long long time....

Ranger's soundpack has a Stuka dive siren. The way it works is by airspeed; once the speed reaches a certain value the siren comes on. Only drawback is you can hear it in level flight if you're going fast enough...but then again if the real thing was designed to scream at a certain speed (normally only attained during a dive), then this works pretty good.
-
cool i found this http://www.zedge.net/ringtone/948429/ which sounds great , so do you replace ju 87 sound with the one from rangers , at the mo i have mitsus :airplane:

Yep, you can mix and match sound files from any number of soundpacks. Just make a copy of your sounds folder in case you want to revert back or pooch your sounds by experimenting. Each sound should be listed by name and in a folder for each plane/vehicle.
-
you know you said the sound kicks in at a cetain speed value, will rangers file already have that in or do you have to change anything else ?

It's built in. Not sure the exact file name, but you can listen to them all to pick just that one or replace the contents of the Ju87 folder with all of Ranger's Stuka sounds.

1. a brake sound.
2. a bomb bay doors sound.
3. a flame sound when the airframe is burning.
4. an engine damage sound. I used the engine start sound (makes a sputtering noise) for stall horn. I have a few possibilities I want to play with.
5. an electronic turret sound for buffs.
6. Seperating flak burst sound and shell hit sound. (i.e. flak1.wav, flak2.wav, flak3.wav...and explode2.wav)
7. a sound for tank's machine-guns firing.

Sorry for posting to old topic.
I have more sound wishes for the game. :)
8. Individual External Tank Main Gun sound like Aircraft's one.
9. A water splash sound when bomb is hit to the water.
10. Ambient sound on the Field and CV.
11. Different individual explosion sound for structure and aircraft or tank.
12. Man ack's external sound plays correctly at rate of fire.

Separate guns for the panzr 4 too stubby sounds way different than long barrel i have source files if needed
-
One thing I wish for is having ALL tanks having different firing gun sounds - problem is if I am in a Tiger 2 - every other tank has the same gun sound.
I want each tank separate from the rest so I can distinguish what tank is around me if their engine is off and they are firing.

That sounds a bit easy to game. One could simply replace main gun sounds for things one didn't use with a voice saying "T-34/85" or "Firefly" and so on.

True... but every game has timid players, sadly.

I can already differentiate different tanks by their engine and thread sounds...

Those would be a lot more irritating to replace with such a voice file. Those files also wouldn't be played if the tank were stationary with its engine off.

There is no need for that in the first place, why do I need the voice file when the threads alone give me the distinct sound of a T-34?
And I'd say anybody not being 'irritated' by hearing a voice saying "T-34/85" instead of a gunshot woouldnt be irritated by threads 'whispering' it's name too ;)
And of course, I wouldn't also be necessary to replace different gun sounds with a voice file. Having different sounds alone is sufficient and already this "gamey" in this context.

imagine going on a gv mission with "t34-85" playing over and over. wouldnt that be fun? or instead of your own engine sound you hear "panzer".....for 10 minutes. that would be so annoying that few people would actually do it.

The point is we would like for combat sounds to sound like combat sounds instead of every tank sounding like the tank we are in. Personally I dont care if its a Panzer or Panther but I would like the gun to sound like the real thing. One of the greatest comments by my squadmates is how changing the bombs, tank engines and aircraft gun and engine sounds to the sounds of the real thing is that the battlefield changes into something that more closely resembles combat sounds.
I would like to add that I would like for there to be different sounds for HE and AP rounds too but its just a small thing really. Troops marching sounds would be great. I hate how the little guys can march right past you and you never hear them.
-
Evenly more important, Hitech seems to be onboard with the concept!
Agreed, first step is to get Hi Tech interested, and it seems he is! Next step is for someone to furnish him the equipment or soft-ware to make it happen!
-
I doubt that WWII-era tank commanders could hear much except the engine (usually on) and what's coming in over his radio headset. I re-read "Caen Anvil of Victory" a few weeks ago, and it contained a statement to this effect. If we have any ex-armor types on the boards, perhaps they could comment.

agree with challenge. the sounds are some of the important parts of the games. some arent that important as the wheels hitting the pavement but some are very important like the stall buzzer or the flaps sound and the most important of all the stress sound. specially in a 262 when you point your nose down. it sounds so pretty i almost always crash being mesmerized by it.

I heard someone say that scout planes (Storchbergers, J3's) would turn off their engine midflight to listen for tanks moving. so if they could do that, then I'm sure if a tanks engine is off then and the hatch is open, other tanks could be heard.
Now I've never heard any WWII tank engine, but Ive been near M1 Abrams tanks plently of times. you can hear those suckers a way out, even with fully automatic fire 10 yards from you.

If the tanks engine is off other tanks can already be heard from at least 4+k away.

Don't get me wrong; I have no problem with turning off the engine to hear other tanks in-game. I just doubt that it is very historical, based on what I've read, and was in part commenting on one poster's desire to "hear" infantry from his tank.
But what the heck; this is a game, right?
