Hmmm....Lockheed must have invented time travel to get the P-80 before the Bell P-59

Wonder how the Kikka got kills as it wasn't even test flown till 11 Aug 1945? :uhoh

Neither were squadron strength or in combat, P-80 was to "late" to see action, and Kikka didn't see action at all.

Not today, but Wikipedia is a good source to learn basic information, however feel free to always ask questions - and never rely on wikipedia for
resourceful information (Just because it's there, doesn't mean its always right).

The Kikka never had any kills, only about 2 test flights, and there were only 2 prototypes when the war ended.

No, a squadron was formed in the US in july of 45, however none went overseas, the squadron wasn't ready for operational readiness, and the war ended before it was even near being shipped, most likely it wouldn't of been stationed in Okinawa even in wartime conditions (assuming downfall went through, because the closest airbase would of been Okinawa, and the P-80s lack of ranger would of been a factor.

However it would of been deployed, most likely Philippines, then shipped elsewhere.

Did not think they were any sent in the PTO. However, was there few in Italy at the end ETO? Something along the line of test flight hours before Germany surrenders?

I would have to research the information, but from what I read so far none were in operational status.

Incorrect sorry, AAC sent 4 YP-80A's to Europe, in April 45 Sent two YP-80s to Great Britain and 2 more to Italy, the purpose was combat testing and build the sagging morale of bomber crews that faced the Me-262s, Both aircraft sent to GB suffered problems, one was totally destroyed, second refitted with a Rolls-royce Jet engine. The two sent to Italy performed a few combat missions before the war ended.

Two planes isn't a squadron sorry.

I would love to see a P-80A vs Me-262 vs Meteor, it would be an interesting match.

i would love to see the meteor p80 and other jet planes because this opens the game to the early cold war game(early jet age i think)

Sorry but it has to have at least been at squadron strength to qualify and have seen combat. There are a lot of planes "I just like" but they do not qualify.
