Title: TD Computer System
Post by: B4Buster on January 19, 2012, 09:52:30 AM
For the past three years, I've been thinking about buying a new computer. I finally decided this was the year. A few weeks ago, I contacted Rich (TilDeath) and told him I was interested. I'm happy I did. I played on low Res for years, only pulling 30 FPS max with a few planes in the area, and down to single digits in larger engagements. I upped for the first time with all eye candy turned on, and WOW, Aces High is a completely different game. I find it much easier to see aircraft and vehicles with the map terrain bumped. I've already noticed an improvement in my gunnery in the few sorties I have flown. The game is so much smoother, as opposeded to the slide-show I was playing previously.

If you're thinking bout buying a new PC - do it. It has greatly improved my gaming experience. Now if I can just get my ipod to transfer my purchases onto my new computer, I'll be back to 100%

Thanks Rich  :aok

put your itunes library onto a flash drive, copy the library from the flash drive to your new machine. worst you might have to do is enter your itunes password. you MUST be sure to grab ALL of your music or you will have issues when you try to listen to music.

Yup...I was quite impressed. When I received the computer, Aces High, and World of Tanks were already installed. Now that's good customer service  :rock

I canceled my order a few weeks ago with Cyberpower and ordered one from TilDeath, I basically gave him a budget to work with and said "Have fun", I frankly could of built it myself, but honestly I haven't researched any parts in years - he's up to date and knows his info.

I set a limit and he came through with a nifty system, far better then the chinese junk I was about to get instead.

outside of researching your parts and building it yourself,  you did the next best thing in my book.....  even if one wants to build their own and needs help,  TilDeath has always helped individuals make good choices or prepared a proper components build list.....  glad you saw the light regarding the not being able to truly select what you want on a supposedly "custom build" from cyberpower  or ibuypower, etc......

I am happy for ya Butcher   &  you too, Buster

Give TD a call and see what kind of budget you can work with,  he has a couple of budget systems, save some pennies up!

I have two systems built by TD.  This past November I had the pleasure of meeting him and watched as he built my wife's computer.  His attention to detail is unmatched.  I had a great time visiting with him.  I can tell you this, he has a lot more patients than I do.

As long as he is in business, my future computers will be purchased from him.

No doubt about that. And yes, his attention to detail is something else. The build was very clean. Rich even organized the items in my control panel in alphabetical order. Little things like that mean a lot to consumers.

I bought a machine from TilDeath some years ago and this thing has never, ever had a problem. Except for a video card switch out, it is still the same system and with the overclocking, I don't need to do much with it.

Does anyone have his current e-mail address or phone number? I want to buy another machine within 6 months or so.

Doctors have patients.  TD has patience.  Of course from what I've heard it would be easy to confuse that by watching him work.  I'd imagine he's pretty good at "operation" as well!

Thanks for the spelling lesson, I'm sure it will come in handy in these, my retirement years.

Just for the record, I have a form of Dysgraphia.  I'll let you look that up.  I am happy that you are such an expert in spelling and grammar, but sometimes you just have to put up with us idiots..  In the future I don't need your help in correcting my spelling.  I have been able to reach my retirement years without your assistance, so I am willing to bet I can make it down the rest of the hill without any help from you.

I'll second the kudos Rich has received here.  Just got a new box from him a couple of weeks ago, and beyond just the smoking hot rig I now have, his customer service is superb.  Box shipped in a well-packed box, and he walked me through the set up over the phone.

If you're in the market for a new rig, look no further...

I bought a unit off of Rich in 2008, he walked me through the setup and I have not looked back.  Seriously if you want the max unit for the $$'s call TD.

A friend of money bought one from Rock and.the quality of the shopping was so meticulous, you could have jumped on the box and there wouldn't have been any damage to the rig.

I got my TD system from Rich about 3 yrs ago - it let me run AH with all settings maxed at a rock steady 59 FPS. My monitor has a 60 FPS rate, so I guess that is the max. . . .  Anyways, 3 years later, and it still runs it at 59 FPS!  None of the components have given me any trouble and it still runs the way it did when it was new.  I used to get a new gaming PC avery three years or so, but right now it looks like I will be using this one for a long time to come.  Rich's work and customer service is definitely top-notch, something you will NEVER experience if you buy your system from one of the big electronics companies.  Hands down the best system I've ever bought!
