I wish to have a dot command to give fellow squadies or players my perks away that I have earned and do not use.
-
if you could give em away, whats to stop you from charging $ for them?
-
This would be great for 2 reasons... First, my Mom's credit card is burning a hole in my pocket, so being able to get on eBay and buy 262s sounds like the perfect solution. Second, there'll be an influx of new players as channel spammers and 8 year old Chinese kids take over the game to farm perk points and sell them to noobs!
If HiTech is reading this... I have two words: Plane Enchantments!
-
yes this is a mega idea , i know loads of players who dont use there perks up , all of squad members who join there mission can give the perks away so everyone can all get 262 s and have mega mission :aok
-
Giving perkies to squaddies sounds like a good thing.
If people are greedy enough to try to charge someone for it, someone else has to be desperate enough to actually offer to pay for them.
-
Wow I must not have been in the frame of mind as other to think that giving would equate into charging money. I have been playing this game for 10 years and 9 years with the current game ID. I do not use perks cause I like to fly high eny planes (therefore I have accumulated alot of perks). I would like to GIVE away my perks to fellow squaddies that cannot fly some of the perked rides to let them experience the full aspects that Aces High offers. In the current economy that this world is in it would be absurd to consider charging someone for money for such a petty thing. :salute
-
well the economy is not bad for everyone, really for some countries it is just amazing and new so you have to consider that.
with such feature I am sure people would buy and sell perkies and that is not cool in any game :/
-
what about if we gave them to players who have just subcribed and have not accumalated perks yet , or all chip in so we can have a b29 mission of 30 aircraft . :airplane:
-
I think an in-game free exchange of perkies is fine...in whatever manner that HTC thinks of. What players do outside of the game is irrelevant.
I certainly have enough perks to give to squaddies and friends.
-
yes but all the abuser has to do is post in an alternative website (buy ah2 perks) and the game will be filled with those people farming to sell. they just have to put something like:
deposit the cash at X account and send me your username via email.
-
I love this idea, when I finish rising through the ranks and become the all mighty CO of the 80th Fighter Squadron I'll finally be able to charge all my squaddies monthly dues for the privilege of staying in the squad!
:D

I'm pretty sure I recall a Hitech quote from a year or two ago about this saying it would never happen. He doesn't want an ingame 'economy', period.
Maybe it'll come in when they implement the nuke!

What if a squadron CO was allotted small amount of perks each tour to reward his pilots?
Obviously there would need to be limitations/restrictions, of what kind, I haven't really thought of in depth, it was just an idea that popped into mind.

we would have squadrons of 1 player by the thousands.

I wasn't trying to flame, I've just been a MMORPG player since Ultima Online, and have played other MUSH and MUD games in the past (I still have MUSHClient installed on desktop), and in my experience, whenever a game has developed a system in which things can be traded, there was outside the game influence on how it was done and it hurt the game.
I burn through 262s by the boatload and I'd love to be able to get perks from buddies who don't use them. I'm too cheep to possibly think about buying them, but that doesn't mean there isn't somebody who isn't. So on the 'what could go wrong?' scale of things, it's a great idea until you implement it.

well just put it into a math problem, say your CO of a squad, at the end of a round the computer assigns you so many bouns perks to go out to your squad based on the number in your squad. lets say 10 for every member, maybe less just throwing numbers out there. perhaps to make it more fair say that only applies to squads with 3 or more people, and they have to be an active squad say the top %10 or so for every tour. not sure if it makes sense but i see it as a good way to reward hard work while trying to get around the people that might abuse it

Actually - here is an interesting variant:
If you post a mission with PERK PLANES, let there be a checkbox so that you, the mission builder, can use your perkies to pay for the mission rides. The number of perk rides in the mission would be limited by you the mission builder, up to the maximum number of your perkies that you would like to commit.
So - if you have a sh*tload of bomber perks for example, put up a mission with 10 boxes of B29s for 4,500 bomber perks. If you are feeling generous with the vehicle perkies, put up a mission with 10 x Tiger IIs and get some buddies to overrun a base. One of you BADoscar fighter jocks can put up a load of fighter perkies and "sponsor" a 262 or F4U-4 fighter sweep mission.

now that actually could work. :aok
a good way to blow perks, and let noobs fly perk planes. The only problem will be the generals getting annoyed that the "wrong" people are taking their B29 slots.
-
ahhh! now that's more like it! this would change the game a lot!! I support the mission checkbox idea, +1!

What If someone will pay me to start a dummy mission with two planes where I can exit right after the start. Same perk business.

but you're not giving the perks away.. someone is "borrowing" them for one sortie.

This would be a good idea.
Just in case the one.....wwiitthhoouutt aa lliiffee......happens upon us. Other members can perform an emergency transfer and send their perk points to a chosen few. These chosen one's may then be allowed access to........the plane of a thousand truths.
