After watching the PBS doc on them it got me thinking about how we might be able to incorporate them into the game. I'm not coming up with much aside from hiding 'easter eggs' with some sort of limited strat value that can be seen after the sortie is landed.

that might be a very good idea rob , load up camera on spit in hanger , when it lands you have the privalage to see gvs at the spawn which you may not be able to see whilst flying over it , through the htc film viewer for example, i dont know if that technology already exists within the game , but if it does it may be good to relay info to gvs upping off spawn :salute

I wonder if that might be incorporated with a floating spawn point viewable after finishing recon. I can already my idea fizzling due to the amount of changes that would be required to the game itself in order to be implemented.

rob this is genus as it opens more planes with more role to the game i :salute you :rock on

except for the 10 or 15 minutes that it takes for you to get back to the base and look at the pics. all the gv's would have been dead or moved to another location and possible new ones respawn. and all the hangars in the base may have been destroyed for all you know.
things change so fast in ah that recon pics are really a waste of time. besides not many people here would be able to match the terrain back to the pic to find some guy camping. more than likely they will just bomb based on tank rounds going off.

Floating spawn point could be visibale after ending sortie successfully. The time taken to virtually analyze the photos can be used to gather friends to go attack with and only make it viewable when flying back armed from another base (like field supplies).

Given most recon planes were unarmed, why not just fly a storch instead?

We have an aircraft in AH that had both photo recon and bomber versions. Just fly a bombless Mosquito Mk XVI and take screenshots.

it would be great for enemy CVs. as soon as you land, the clipboard gets updated with a CV icon, a vector and a timestamp. same for SB locations and orientation.

Best idea for this yet.

yup, that's what we need, "power ups" for taking screen shots, and "teleportation cubes" to make the shots relevant. :aok

if you flew a recon mission and hit r then played it back in ah film viewer would you be able to locate enemy positions im sure you can if they are within range , then you could radio on sqd cnl to any of your guys who maybe about to open the spawn :headscratch:

you can NOT run the game AND the film viewer at the same time.... just for this reason.

but you could if you had it on your lap top and copied the file with a flash stick , that would work wouldnt it :salute

You only need a second aces high installation to use its film viewer. Or just simply use a second computer i.e a laptop.
