What if there was some way to upload the photos? We'd have to land, but where would they be hosted? Perhaps some where on the clip board? There must be some way that we can share the media on the game.
Perhaps this is where the PBY and the Storch is handy, even though I'm against both of them.
CV recon, mission recon etc.

I was assuming the sharing would be in the form of "so and so can see, follow him".

Photo recon was done by fast, high flying aircraft, not by army cooperation aircraft like the Storch or by maritime patrol aircraft like the PBY-5 Catalina. Examples of effective photo recon aircraft are the F-5, Ki-46, Mosquito PR.Mk IV, Mosquito PR.Mk XVI (which we effectively have in the game already), Spitfire PR.Mk XI and Spitfire PR.Mk XVIII.

They weren't always high and you completely forgot to add the P38 to that list. If I remember correctly, a P38 took this photo of the Normandy coast prior to June 6th.

Maybe all bases on the map should start off hidden until someone recons them.

+1 for this idea..
Can be useful to check the status of a town or base

F-5 is the photo recon version of the P-38. I didn't forget it. :P Mosquito PR.Mk XVI was the F-8 in USAAF service.

Oh, you're right. I didn't even read the F5, I just skipped right over it. My apologies...
