Title: Takes too long to download via autoupdate.. Solution maybe....?

So, I'm not patient enough to wait over an hour for the auto update download..  I've already download the complete game in less than 10 minutes..  Can I just install over the old game and will it update itself?
Or is there an alternate way to update using the new install file?

Ok, if you're impatient like me, download the full game from alternate download source(it's faster download) as well as hi res texture pack..  Install both..  I find many people complaining about skins not transferring from the update..  All my stuff is exactly the same except for what was updated..  Worked like a charm and took much less time..  85 minute download??  Sheesh....

There is always a link to the update download on the information page for the update and it's always faster than the auto updater.

When any server has to deal with hundreds to thousands of simultaneous connections, to get a large patch (over 100MB), there will always be a slow down in the speed.  That is why we provide a manual way to getting the updates.

If you click on the information page link provided in the news announcement, it will take you to the change list and it will show a link to the patch as well, which comes from an alternate server.
