Hiya gang!
First of all, let me congratulate HTC on all the recent changes (new pricing, wow!, the Combat Arena and the new terrains) plus for all the cool stuff that I am sure they are working on (choo, choo!). :D
The reason I am posting though, is that I am looking for a cool sound file for when I receive a "check six!" call (more often than I should!!!). I am looking for something authentic, not a joke file, and probably British since I will be flying Spits most of the time.
I have the video for the Battle of Britain film (1969) and was thinking of looking through that for something suitable, but was wondering if someone had already gone to the trouble of getting it.
Anybody got anything?
Thanks in advance and cheers,
phaetn

Hmm...
This girl made me one that says "Check six Nash, you stud" in a super-sexy voice. Seriously. I happen to love it. Gives me that much needed boost of manly confidence just before the sh#t hits the fan. :)
Might not be what you're looking for though. <g>

There was a british voice check 6
"you better shake that bandit off your 6"
I lost it though and would like to have it. There is a thread in the SOUNDS forum labelled Check 6 try there.

I picked this one up from the bbs when the "Check Six" feature was added way back when. I love it!

Excellent, thanks gents!
I hadn't even thought of rifling through other games for sounds files. :) Now I've laboured through Rowan's Battle of Britain, CFS2, B-17 2, and other released games (and a few that aren't!). ;)
I like the three that you provided the best, though! Thanks a bunch!
Cheers,
phaetn

Wmaker,
I got the file from Camo.
It says:
"Varohan kutostas, perkule."
Camo's loose translation for us English speakers:
"Watch your six, damnit."
Wotan,
They are, with the exception of the Finnish one, simply files I've collected from the Sound BB. I just grabed one of the British ones out of this thread (My American, Britsh and German are all EAW rips and I suspect that my Japanese is a rip from the user made Japanese speech pack for EAW.
I don't have a way to post them though, I can email them to whomever wants them though.
Does anybody have a Russian, Italian or Portugese file? Surely one of the Russians, Leonid or Baroda, can make one? We have lots of Russian aircraft in AH now, and seem to be getting more.
-
Wotan the one I used to have was more "rasio sounding". i searched throught the sounds forum and couldn't fing it.
I'll add that to my things to find list!

Remember in Braveheart just before the battle when William asks his Irish pal what God (he speaks to him, LOL) tells him about the outcome? The Irish man says "he says I'll be fine but YER shreckED" Now that would be my check 6 file :D
