Why are all the planes black when I pull them up in the skin viewer?

Because, I found this out by trial and error, under the video settings are 2 boxes.. untick the Self Shadow.  That should do the trick

I'll have to check, tomorrow.  Just DL the update on work PC, and it wasn't working.
