I am not an audio/visual person at all so this may be a dumb question. I am getting a 60" screen & have HDMI capability on my Qomio laptop. When using HDMI is the game using the video card in CPU or is the HDTV controlling the video? And does the game look good playing on such a large screen? Thanx, Sidious

The TV is just a monitor, it isn't going to control anything other than it will likely scale the image to whatever it's native resolution is. Assuming it's an HD television that will either be 1024x768 or 1920x1080.
Whether it will look better or not depends on whether the TV is a better display device than the monitor on the computer, assuming you're sitting far enough back. It will certainly be larger. :)

I use an HD projector (PT AE4000). I sit 11 feet from our screen in a home built simulator. It is 9foot wide by 5 foot tall. We also watch movies and football with it. The quality is outstanding. The distance is important and will very with the size of your screen. so don't sit too close.

The only thing you might have to do is set the TV to "monitor mode" or "gaming mode" or a similar setting that turns off it's post-processing junk.
You also might need to adjust the scaling and/or overscan options in your video cards settings... but beyond that it shouldn't be a problem.
