For those that are interested this declassified document shows the location and strength of EVERY Naval Aviation unit during November 1943.

This next link will give you a chance to look over locations and strengths of all aviation units in the US Navy from 2 February 1942 till 7 Sept 1945.

Thanks for sharing this, I thought it had been posted but that may have been quite a while back. You know how things get lost on the BBS.

I've been using this data to build a database tied to Google Earth so you can look at each unit and see what they had for each report. I've been working on it for the past year and half but it's still a long ways to go.

That was a crapload of Carrier groups in '43...  :O
