When the indestructible hangar is bombed, the field gun positions are obscured by bomb craters, rendering them unuseable.
The work around is to start clicking on the N,W,S, etc. points on the clipboard, but that doesn't tell you if the gun is available or what kind of gun you are going to. Seconds count when the vulch is on. Please remedy this issue.

Another thing is the icons (when they haven't been bombed yet) sometimes show as green, until you click on them and you get a "talk to the hand, this gun is occupied" message. Then you move the mouse away and the occupied gun still shows as green. So you click again and get the same rebuke.

I've always wondered why there's an indestructible hangar anyway. Is there an actual reason that i'm missing?

Probably because if it wasn't indestructible, it would be the first and only hangar needing to be bombed. Then nobody could select things in the hangar.
Wouldn't be surprised if some base horder asks for this, along with real cratering of runways to prevent their use. "Tey didit in teh warz!"

Same applies for ground vehicles, If you park behind a bomb crater then the enemy tank can't see you, however you can stick your nose through the crater and see everyone else fine.
Rarely it happens, but it does.
