I have a few of them, but most people here don't like the way I hand them out :D

Last time I didn't see any Storches up was because the field was capped.
I can't remember seeing a gv field capped before....

Really? Never? BTW there are certain boneheads I dont respond to cause I cant see what they write, "in case your wondering".
But honestly, and asking in all seriousness, what in hell was the point of modeling this silly airplane? Im getting tired of not getting planes people will actually fly with the reason being, "Oh, it will be great in EWA, which nobody goes in", or, "It will be swell in recreations", which make up about 1% of the playtime. Last Fri night, with about 550 in the LWA, there were 15 in the FNSS. I Love recreations, when players actually show up, and I like off the wall aircraft, but they should be the last ones modeled after those that people will actually fly.
2012 and still no Soviet Bomber! Yet they model this skunk to chuck out smoking orange turds? Im appalled! I saw two orange turds last night but they werent needed cause you can already see the fire from the GV from just as far away. The only real use this skunk has is for gamers to spawn, jump out, and run like hell to the map room and shoot cartoon drunks in the head with a .45 .

I was at a base that was attacked by about 20 of them in advance of a mission. Them little boogers can turn. lol

I think it's time to break out the clue x four.

I think 1 or 2 of us actually made it back home, lol. The Storch raid didn't have anything to do with the mission that followed btw. We were just having a little fun.
Next storch raid will be at 20k! I wonder if hypoxia is modeled? :uhoh

Maybe Im missing something but how do you "attack" in them?

Very cleverly. We flew close to the ground, and when defenders showed up we dropped all of our smoke bombs. Once we completed our framerate reduction tactic, we flew in tight little circles firing our pop guns at the big mean fighters. Then we all died. Clever huh?

Very clever. But I bet it will lose its charm in the first few attacks. It is a fine way to fly to a enemy base on auto while the squad is eating dinner.
Eventually it will take its place as a Queen amongst Queens however. Do tell? Was this thing modeled after a vote or was it a HTC surprise?

I think you fail to get the point. We were having fun. Stupid goofball fun. That's it. Nothing more.
When I play a game I prefer some aspects of it to be fun. Which of course, this was.

How dare you have fun in a GAME? :O
The nerve of some people...

1. I love the storch, when I log on, now it is the first thing I jump into (call it warm up settling in)
2. This evening, I challenge a pair with a pair to a storch V storch duel. You and a gunner, with raw nerves of steel, mano y mano, etc.....
anyone down?

Be careful what you wish for... :pray
If I bring Vilkas, it's all over, pal :devil

It was funny listening to all the chatter about storches.

Oh I get the Point. And I appreciate the humor behind the posts.
But could we not be as humorous with an aircraft modeled that people would actually fly? Would that kill our instinct for humor?
As Homo Sapiens, or straight Sapiens, we could have a Level Soviet Bomber and still fill the air with smirks, gufffaws, chuckles, and general mirth? Why must we buzz around at 60 mph, chucking out orange goo, for these things to happen? Could not another Brit CV plane do it? The TU-2? The Beau? The Yak 3? Perhaps an I-talian 3 motor rig? The A-26?
I beseech thee, Why the Skunk?

The Storch comes with the new icon model. They spot gv's good.

Me too. I love the storch, and understand why it was added, unlike the OP. From the vbase it is nice being able to recon the battlefield and call out to the friendly tankers the location of that Panther that is hiding and killing everyone looking for him, or letting the friendlies know which way the turret is pointed on that enemy tank sitting behind a berm when the friendly tanks are trying to flank him one on each side...
And they're awesome for making BushLT auger his 163! :devil
