As to the point, that's nowhere near a fricken HO. I hate it when you beat someone back around and get the shot off first and all they can do is yell HO all the way down.

When I was a newer player, I would take that shot and those alike. But now that I have spent some time and effort in mastering this game, I see no reason to cut it that close. Was is it a ho? No it was not, but Butcher should know better than to risk it all on a risky shot like that.  I'm certain other veterans would agree with me.

If you consider that shot risky, you still have some way to go - enjoy the ride  :)

like a very well respected player and wise man once said, "it's all about angles".  or another wise man also said "if you gonna shoot, shoot, dont talk".  if you have the shot take it, no need to go around thinking that a shot from behind kills you dead[er].

I respect that, all I am saying is that I would have worked a better angle simply because I know that I have taken the time to prepare myself to be the best, and that if I fly like I train, then I cannot be stopped. I will not risk defeat on a near head on.  Each pilot must decide for himself whether the risk of head on death is worth the chance at a kill on that angle. Since I know that if I pass it up and go for a better angle there is a one hundred percent chance I will be victorious and THAT, is a percentage I cannot pass on.

the other guy had no shot at him so there was no danger.   you made decisions based on the flying at the time it happens.  he may have thought that the other guy had no gun solution as as you can see he was right.  he made a shot and took it.  you cant second guess based on a film.  the film recorded is buggy as hell anyway and what you say may not necessarily be what happened.  it could possible be that the other guy actually saw a ho and the film didnt record it, it could happen, but based on how much he claims that the other players always ho then you know there's a high chance it wasnt a ho.

basically films are not always trusted when it comes to small differences like this one.  but given my own experience to quickill's claim of ho's then I doubt that a ho really happen.  quickill has claimed that I ho'd him many times  when I actually shot him from behind.

When i was a newer player back in december, I would have gone for a similar shot, but then I learned that what you see on your end is not what your opponent sees. So just because it looks like a good shot, your foe could very well have guns on you.  With such uncertainty I will pass on that shot and work an angle in which I know I cannot be defeated.

I don't agree.  I'd take that shot 10 out of 10 times in the MA.

I normally don't Ho unless the situation comes down to it, this is why I keep my alt so I don't get on the deck and buzzed by mach 1 La7s that Ho until next week. Same situation here, he was busy picking everyone and I caught up to him, either way I would of Ho'd him just based on fact he's a picker.

What film doesn't show is him at 15k to start all this, and I wasn't above 7k heh.

So you're saying since you were in a twitfire, you clearly had the advantage  :D

IMHO  While in a spit any shot forward of the 3/9 line is glutinous and "bad form", cause it is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooo easy to gain the "6" of your opponent while in the twittyfire  :aok

I don't have the film to show how it was on my end. Wish I did. Funny how people jump on another persons wagon. I am not a very good stick. I will be the first to say that / admit it. I just started playing again back in Dec. But, I did play for a while several years ago. I just expect more from better sticks, but its something to take into consideration that the person on the other end is not seeing what you do always because of server / connection / netcode that goes into the simulation. I don't post on 200 much, but I am not afraid to ask or call out someone. Again, I just need to lower my expectations in MA. I expect better sticks to not pull HO shots, and most won't go for the HO. I also understand bringing your nose on someone is a variation of defense. Seeing your screen shot and me not having one of my view, I am sorry for the claim of the HO. <S>

I just expect more from better sticks.

An error many people make.  Be advised, this is a game that any more barely qualifies as a combat-sim.  Every single "stick" in this "game" will resort to trembling little alt-monkey, ramming, running, suicidal, whiney, hording, hobags should the need arise, or if the mood is right.  You will to.
