Good on the pilot, but comparing him to Cpt Sullenberger is a bit much. This guy landed on a runway, Sully landed a commercial jet in the Hudson river and saved 155 people's lives.

T-33 Hellcat?

LOLOL What's a Hellcat jet?
Besides, the Angels never flew T-33s....

T-33 Hellcat?
LOL, I saw that too!
As a bit of a side note to this, many years ago I worked on a Canadian built T-33 that did the same exact thing. We got 1/3 of the way into it, the insurance company stopped us and just totaled the aircraft and simply cut him a check. It was really messed up inside although it looked really good outside.

Yes the article says that.

never flew them as a demonstration aircraft, but it appears they may have operated them to some degree. I dont know if they were painted that way though.

you've gotta pardon them. they need to make it sound more enthralling than it really is.
good job on the pilot saving the aircraft though. :aok

That's okay, happens.
Hate it when they forget to bring the gear down.
