Title: Mission Planner
Post by: Rob52240 on February 15, 2012, 11:21:18 AM
I wish it wasn't so difficult to change a plane in the mission planner.  As things are now, you need to first remove all the armament from a plane you want to change, submit it, then change the plane and add armament and hope you don't get an invalid weapons loadout message.

Also.
Frequently when submitting a mission, say from field A100 I get an error message saying that some plane isn't available at base #1.  Very irritating.

Also.
It would be nice to appoint flight leads to the different mission elements, and allow the different mission elements to take off at different times.
Perhaps letting different elements take off from different bases would be nice too.

Fixed

I haven't done this lately, but I used to have missions saved and just loaded them and adjusted field and runway headings as necessary.

I noticed Devils like P51Ds and 190s.  I hope this helps.  Let me know if the load option is not working properly.  I always loved having a mission all ready to spring up that I had leisurely put together with specific types of tasks in mind (also, gave me time to think of catchy mission code names).

Also, many times folks want to be a part of the mission but want you to change / add their plane to it.  My fix is to have them join the mission and then launch their preference on the correct runway prior to mission launch and then wait.   Can't please all the players .... so take suggestions seriously, but if you had a well thought out plan, too many options may actually foul things up.

By the way, I am looking for a nice group of players that enjoy flying ThunderBolts.....  I am not interested in MA squads presently, but would seriously enjoy some ThunderBolt wingman action.

 Former squadees, always enjoy seeing you guys on and doing well.  I feel fortunate to have spent so much quality time flying with all of you, and hope that you all understand my JUG and HellCat fascination.  :salute
