Title: Range Channel Squelch & Stuka Formations

I ask why for two reasons.

a) When they are (rarely) used they are pushed over into very steep dives, which is something that drone pilots cannot do
b) They are used very, VERY seldom

That's a shame too, cause VWs are tons of fun (pun intended) to drop on perk tank spawn campers' heads. :D

I don't think that the B-25C has one...

My mistake, sorry.

But by that logic, shouldn't the TBM-3 be enabled with formations? 3x2000lb torps should be enough to take out half the 5th fleet :rofl

Post by: tmetal on February 17, 2012, 04:59:54 PM: Personally I think the TBM and B5N should both have a formation option because of the level bomb sight they have. Its not like having two drones would make those planes much more survivable and the extra fire power would encourage more use. However, the TBM and B5N were not really used in large formation level bombing like the B17, B24, Ju88, etc. Yes TBMs and B5Ns flew in formations but the entire formation didn't drop on the lead bombardier's command and this is what the drones in game are used to simulate. I think that is the main reason why we don't have formations for those birds.

If I am wrong, I'm sure there are plenty of guys that have been here longer who can chime in with the real reason. :aok

ha, seen many try to hit cv with torpedoes over the years. have seen perhaps 1 or 2 hits.
