My wife's Aunt had a flood in her basement and while she was cleaning it out she found some old German postcards. Thought I would share...

Maybe she was a member of the Odessa? ;)
-
Are they in that good of condition?
-
They are in mint condition Oakranger.
-
If I had to guess, I would say they were obtained at an American Nazi Party rally during the late 1930s, particularly if they were never in circulation.
-
It is a good thing they were not damaged or destroyed by the flooding. I'd find a nice airtight, fireproof, blastproof box to store them in. :aok To find out their worth, I'm sure a few folks here could provide you with some links to sites that will give you a rough estimate of their price, if not E-Bay and Amazon.

I was only teasing with my comment. Which obviously nobody got.
They were probably brought home by a vet as a souvenir Possibly a late arrival after the war was over as all the good stuff was looted already

I got it Drediock. Not really concerned about there worth, just thought they were cool and would share....
-
You probably *should* find out what they are worth. Sometimes items like that can be worth upwards of $10,000, sometimes a lot more. If they're worth a lot and you care about them being preserved, it might be a good idea to find a museum that would be willing to care for them or even add them to their collection "on loan from" you.

Interesting...........

Was not Hoffmann Hitler's private photographer as well? And Hoffmann's young assistant was none other than Eva Braun.

Nice original find!
