Title: Vehicles wont accelerate past first gear.
Post by: ghoulish on February 19, 2012, 05:14:23 PM
Hey!  I've had this problem before.  You hop in a tank, or wirble and take off from the hanger.  You turn left or right depending on conditions, but the darn thing will not go over 15mph.  You stop.  Turn off the motor.  Start motor, hit full thottle and still it wont go beyond first gear.  Very frustrating as I can see I'm the only SOB with this problem. :bhead :bhead :bhead :bhead :bhead :bhead

I've restarted the game.  Restarted the computer.  Changed key mappings.  Today I could not get out of first no matter what.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanx. :bhead :bhead :bhead :bhead :bhead :bhead :bhead :bhead :bhead :bhead :bhead

PS:  This appears to be the only problem I have.  I've not noticed ANY other control issues.  :x

Check the deadband on your rudders. If there is any rudder input at all, it won't shift...

Correct, if your turning at all it will not shift gears. It's a great way to set the gearbox to a gear. Take off, give it some turn and it will stick in which ever gear your in. It's great for creeping along in 1st gear if you need to advance slowly.
