<S> Nikon, you should know by now that some people can't be beat
unless it's by a ho  :rofl :rofl
In their minds, it had to be a ho to beat them,
that's their justification to losing :aok

A true Head On takes two players to accomplish.  Most of the children forget that.

The only argument someone may have is when they have the absolute angle on an enemy plane with guns trained and range is closing and the target plane chooses to turn head on instead of performing a defensive maneuver.  But even then, the attacker has the option of pulling up and re-setting his attack and not allowing the Head On to happen.  So it truly is a double edge sword.

The absolute worst low-life "ACM" in Aces High (yes, the HO is an actual ACM) is the stick-stirrer.  Nothing is more comical to watch than some supposed "ace" to jerk his stick around like he just a seizure and think he is actually being a stud pilot (you know who you are).  If HTC would do anything to AH, tightening up the "Do no move your controls so quickly* parameters would be near the top of my wish list.  The first time that stick is jammed in 4 opposite directions (up, down, L, R) within a 2 second period it would lock up and the message "Knock it off, idiot" would pop up instead.

Get off the high horse NG.
While it clearly was NOT a ho, you only had 10-12k on us and was bragging about how lame we are. Also called "nice gang" on a 3v2 situation like 7 minutes earlyer. Dont wonder he got angry...
No need for the drama. <S>

I'm seeing two other red in that screenshot, not cointing the 109 going up in flames, and your attacker is a P38.  Are you really complaining he wasn't down on the deck where you guys can swarm the piss out of him as an excuse for crying HO?    :cry

Where you seen any compliment in my post? lol... The two other cons were trying to deack the town, on the other side of the ack, i dont think they played any role in this.
Only said he had much alt on us yet hes claiming "ownage". If you think it is, right, okay, our definitions might be different.
And yessir, thats the way to win a 2v1. Extend, climb. I would do the same. Just no need to brag about our lameness.
Also said, no need for the drama,  yet youre feeding the fire...  .

Just remember, if you died it's because you made a mistake. Learn from your mistakes and make less of them  :aok

While I hate the HO shot, if I die because of one it's because I failed to avoid it properly. It's not the other guys fault.

The HO is one of the tools in the fighter pilot's toolkit.  Sometimes it is even the correct tool to use.  It gets used much more often than that in AH, but not as often as it is whined about.

I call HO when a trend is manifest. At some point in ACM two birds are going to approach dead ahead. Slight difference between a HO and HA pass. ACM is taking place and at some point a trigger is pulled. There it is.

When I mention trends, every now and then, in a particular furball it seems every red guy is trying to ram you, zero ACM taking place just screaming fanatics ramming and ho'ing. At some point it is just a mess. Whatever, annoying but....

A true head on results in a collision.

From just a screenie who can tell. If your in the 38 it is not a HO. However if he had a con in the HO position when he got hit he may think it was you.

However, is there are times that it is an unnecessary to HO. If you fly a spit XVI vs a P-47D-25, why would a spit XVI have to HO when he has better performance to out climb, out accelerate, and out turn that fat Jug.

Debrody, didn't your mummy ever teach you about fibbing, lol .. do I have to post the text buffer as well, nowhere in this fight did I ever say either of you were lame.  My exact words were "you two let me take off and slip out from under you, get alt and return to kill you both, your mistake".  Plus no one is on their high horse .. just thought Syrax claiming it was a HO was funny when it clearly wasn't one.  Also as far as the "nice gang" comment, I meant it .. you three played me like a fiddle.  Don't take everything as a derogatory comment :)

NG

Remember that p38 you saved just ran away and left you alone. I was the one you removed from his six, i thought its natural i turned into you. True, that wasnt nice, i admit.
You act like you have never double-triple teamed me before. I got some bad memories, just dont want to recall them.
No need for the mud-wrestling anyway.
We had some damn good fights before and i respected You. Got a bit angry over some bagatell bull-shizz, also made some stupid mistakes, but hell, lets forget it all and find fun fites again.
Both of us gonna feel better that way, i think. <S>

My rule for HO's, only call it on #200 if you successfully counter-HO (e.g when some dweeb in a zeke tries to HO your typhoon).

If the guy was trying to merge away from your relentless intent on face shooting him and that is the angle that resulted in the kill shot, was it a HO?  Something tells me though if you were fighting your evil twin in that merge you both would have collide/HO rammed into one another.

That is too bad people are calling foul when there clearly is none.  It really ruins the integrety of a few of us who know a HO when we see one - and that ain't one.

A HO requires intent (hard to prove) but circumstantially there are several factors that show intent (the plane and how it moves is an expression of our intent).  And I see several degrees of HO - the worst being the co-alt, co-e, un-loaded  HO. . . thats a proper merge, and I think you should always take the merge and treat the situation as an honourable 1v1 unless there are a bunch of others around - but you get a few merges after that. . .

anyway, shame really.
