Obviously not done, but the meat of the project has been completed.  As we know, the devil is in the details  :bhead

I've been playing with the  colors to see if I can get them to look better.  Obviously, there are as many different RGB interpretations of the RLM colors as there are folks with color chips and scanners.  This looks a bit dark but, once I get the camo patterns lined up and to my satisfaction, I will play with the different interpretations of the RLM colors.  Any suggestions on the RGB values or a link (besides simmer's paint shop) for mixing the RGB colors would be most welcome.

JG 54 used some unusual colors, so far not identified 100% but in this case, Nowotny's Fw 190 A-5 appears to be RLM 70/71 that was painted over the base camo colors of 74/75. In this case, Claes' profile is accurate in that respect. The upper wings match value wise and seem to be the same color combination of 70/71.

I assume your top colors are RLM 70 and 71? May I suggest altering you colors to be more green?

Question is, how do I use it in PSP?

I can add RGB or HTML but not FS colors...

Here are the RGB values. Just enter the numbers manually. Or, if you see an area to enter an HTML notation, just enter the code.

RLM 70   Red: 36   Green: 46   Blue:42    HTML: 242a20
RLM 71   R: 52     G: 59     B: 43    HTML: 343b2b
RLM 56   R: 148   G: 158   B: 157   HTML  949e9d

had to do it the hard way, use the eyedropper tool to select the color then read the settings.

It is supposed to be as close as possible to the photos on the first page of this thread.

Is it a JG 54 bird? yes

Should it have a green heart? no

i wasnt wondering if it was accualy going to have a green heart. i was just wondering if maybe someone got mixed up. i guess it was me at 3am

Nowotny flew this particular 190 shortly after JG 54 stopped painting squadron insignias on aircraft.
