Title: March FSO Adjustments
Post by: Shifty on February 23, 2012, 06:20:04 PM
Okay here's what were going to roll with. At T-60 the No Fly Zone will adjust West to the 3 line.

The setup at ahevents has been edited to show the following changes.

NO AXIS AIRCRAFT CAN ENTER AXIS NO FLY ZONE AS MARKED IN RED AND SHADED IN BLUE ON OBJECTIVE MAP.
COORDS= 7.20 SOUTH TO 7.18  AND 6.18 SOUTH TO 6.0

AT T-60 INTO THE FRAME THE AXIS NO FLY ZONE WILL ADJUST WEST RUNNING STRAIGHT NORTH AND SOUTH AND MARKED ON THE OBJECTIVE MAP IN GOLD. NO AXIS AIRCRAFT ARE ALLOWED WEST OF THAT LINE.

ANY ALLIED AIRCRAFT THAT ENTERS INTO THE NO FLY ZONE MUST DO SO TO RE-ARM OR RTB. ANY ALLIED AIRCRAFT SPOTTED BY A CM USING THE NO FLY ZONE AS SHELTER THEN RE ENTERING THE FIGHT WILL RESULT IN A 100 POINT LOSS FOR THE ALLIES.

Looks like a good compromise. Thanks for taking the time to work on a change.  :salute

why have a no fly zone at all?  It seems like it is used more as an 'immunity zone' from my limited experience of it.

Because on setups that DON'T have it the team with the advantage spends 90% of the frame going around vulching and strafing runways and whatnot. It's not very realistic and it's poor gamesmanship.

Limited no-fly is better than no no-fly.

This seems to be the best solution. Thanks Shifty.  :salute
