Hi Gents,
anyone installed the X52 magnet mod?
I saw there are two ways to improve the pecission of a X52:
a) add stronger magnets at the original position
b) remove original magnets and place one directly in middle position under the hall sensor
anyone tried one of these mods?
cheers

I did this by moving the magnets (and stacking them) in the center. It seemed to increase precision quite a bit but to be fair I only used it like this a half dozen times or so before I got another stick. My X52 sits in the closet as a backup now (although it was working just fine)

Yes I have a CH stick but tried it on my x52 it improves a lot .
I used double sided tape to fix it, it allows for magnet to be remove and then reset.
Bonjour by the way :rofl

ok, it was a long night
watched the video, build in 2 extra magnets, where the tesla force was too strong, so i had it pretty precise but the steering way was to close. so i did some research about the used hallsensors. I took now both magnets, stacked them into one and went into my old lab. i looked at the tesla force and calculated a bit, the perfect result is, 2.1 mm direct placed und the the middle of it. So i build these things in and voila, its truly amazing, such a huge difference!
It simply is so preceise as my MS FF2 was before, gonna really love it now
I still wondering why Saitek didn't build it that way from the beginning, you dont need the both magnets and its plastic sliders steered vs a small part of a cog wheel, just one magnet and no cog wheel.
Anyhow, i love the result, now lets see if my hit ratio % comes back up above 10% where it was with my MS ff2 before.....

It's not difficult to do. I used silicone on mine... tough enough to hold it in place but easy enough to undo if needed.
